GB Foods thrills 1st Anigye Aba fie promo winners in Kumasi

Agro processing and Food manufacturing giant GB foods drove the Kejetia Market to thrills when it picked the first of six full kitchen makeover winners in the company’s nationwide Anigye Aba Fie Promotion.

The manufacturer of the award winning Pomo and Gino range of products launched the customer service promo to reward its loyal customers as part of celebrations to mark fifty years of doing business in Africa and more than two decades of remarkable business operations in Ghana.

Kingsley Nyantakyi a resident of Tikrom in the Ejisu Municipality could not bottle in the joy after officials of the National Lotteries Authority (NLA) pulled up his details in a caritas platform draw, naming him the recipient of the ultimate home makeover award.

This will effectively turn his kitchen into an ultra-modern culinary paradise refurbished and fitted with a brand new refrigerator, blenders, cooking stoves, microwaves, and a rice cooker among others.

Other winners carried away home and kitchen appliances including television sets; microwaves, rice cookers, kitchen stoves, Pomo and Gino Range of products and souvenirs.

A mother who took home a 32inch television told reporter Ivan Heathcote – Fumador, “my daughter schooling at KNUST asked me to buy her a television but I couldn’t because I didn’t have money.”

“Gino and Pomo people have been true to their word and today I am sending this television to her,” the excited mother commended.

Raining Giveaways

Marketing Director with GB Foods Ghana, Samuel Derry pointed out that aside the draws slated intermittently across months, the company is rewarding over a million customers in its instant scratch and win promotion which requires customers to purchase up to Ghc30 worth of Gino and Pomo Products for a scratch-coupon.

“We are giving away free airtime, mobile phones, fabric for our mothers this Christmas, refrigerators, blenders, televisions and above all, six kitchen make overs to bring out delight in the Ghanaian cuisines they cook.”

At the end of every four weeks, we have a draw like we have had here where people get to win the big ticket prices like the refrigerators, phones, home appliances and the kitchen home makeover,” he elucidated.

The draw also afforded traders, market dwellers, street hawkers, passersby and head porters the rare opportunity to participate in Pomo and Gino led amusement contests to also win products, cash and souvenirs.

National Impact

Samuel Derry mentioned that the company was on course to create some three thousand new direct jobs in the country with its huge investment in vegetable farms and production capacity.

“You know we invested over 5million euros to drive factory expansion in our canning line for our food service. We have also acquired over 100,000 hectares of land at the Affram Plains to farm tomatoes. If you looked at the combined impact of our backward integration, we will employ over three thousand small holder farmers,” he disclosed.

On quality assurance, Derry noted that the company prioritizes the holistic nutritional value of every product it churns unto the market.

“We are making sure the products have the right amount of nutrients so we as Ghanaians are proud to consume the products we produce,” he reassured.
